Standing Desk Part 2
I can't even figure out how to post all this, and it is all scatter shot and out of order. But...
I just finished setting up my standing desk at work. Part of my goal to transform everything is to not fall victim to constant sitting. My new job has me at a computer in a cubicle even more than my old one! Sitting around all day is horrible for us, it weakens important muscles that hurt activities, makes us higher risk for many injuries and diseases, and just generally sucks.
So, I'm standing.
I'm going to have to take it slowly, as it is a major adjustment. But there is so much sitting in our day already, TV, driving, meetings, waiting at offices, etc. If I can just get standing 4-5 hours a day at work that would have been sitting, I'll have a much better balance of how humans should be behaving.
